Translation price is based on the number of source (English) words, as defined by the relevant software application.
Other tasks, such as editing, proofreading, and desktop publishing, can be invoiced by the hour.
When source material can easily be processed with computer-assisted translation tools, such as Trados, the following discounted rates may apply:
- Repetitions and 100% matches: 25% of normal rate
- 85% to 99% matches: 50% of normal rate
- 75% to 84% matches: 70% of normal rate
- Below 74% matches: normal rate
As a member of an association that is approved by French tax authorities, I accept checks in my name as a method of payment: in euros if drawn on a French bank or in US dollars if drawn on a US bank. I also accept wire transfers, for which each party must pay the fees charged by their own bank.
A 19.6% value-added tax (VAT) applies for clients based in France. My VAT number is FR07429314206.
Payment terms are net 30 days.
